A hand full of Chillicothe track athletes season will continue following the Sectional Track Meet on Saturday. Athletes placing in the top four of an event qualified for the State Track Meet.
For Chillicothe Boys: Braxton Johnson 3rd in 110 hurdles, Tristan Fork 2nd in High Jump, Gavin Funk 1st in Pole Vault, Rudy Yutzy 4th in Pole Vault, Damarcus Kelow 1st in discus and 3rd in shot put. Not qualifying for the state meet were Hayden Simmer 6th in 1600 and 5th in 3200 and Isaiah Sprong 6th in Javelin.
For the Chillicothe Girls: Jolie Bonderer won the 1600 meters. Not qualifying for the state meet were Aliyah Briner 6th in 3200, Emmy Dillon 7th in 300 hurdles, 4×400 relay team was 7th, 4×800 relay team 5th, (missing a trip to state by 4/10ths of a second) Madison Albaugh 7th in High Jump, Katelyn Fleener 8th in Shot Put and Hope Helton 7th in Javelin.
