The new handicapped-accessible playground at Simpson Park opened for public use Wednesday afternoon. Parks Director Josh Norris says there is still a small amount of work taking place around the playground and there are areas that remain fenced off. They ask for the public’s cooperation as the final work is completed.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in the near future.
