The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 100 calls for service Friday. Some of the calls include:
2:47 am, Report of 2 cattle out in the area of Chillicothe Elementary and Resthaven Cemetery. Brown one and black one. Officers and County Officers unable to locate.
7:25 am, Vehicle crash at Fair and Springhill Road. Driver swerved to miss an animal, striking curb and stop sign. Vehicle towed from scene due to flat tires. No injuries.
8:36 am, Officers received a walk-in report that an individual was trespassing in the 1300 block of Springhill Road at approximately 04:30 AM. The individual was trespassing around the back of the property and possibly tampering with a vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.
6:52 pm, a child on bicycle hit a vehicle at St. Louis and E. Jackson Street. Officers assisted Emergency Services on the call.
Officers also remind residents, fireworks may only be used in the Chillicothe city limits today from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and on the fourth from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. They can not be used the city limits after the fourth.
