A Waverly woman had serious injuries in an accident Friday afternoon in Lafayette County. State Troopers report 22-year-old Brenda B Butler was westbound on US 24 near Ketner Road and ran off the right side of the road. She overcorrected and began to skid, ran off the road again, and her vehicle overturned. She was flown to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence. She was not wearing a safety belt.
