The Chillicothe Mudcats extended their win streak to five games with a 6 to 4 win over the Mustangs at St Joseph Wednesday Night.
Mudcats outfielder Josh Swinehart hit a 2-run triple, and first baseman Greyson Barrett broke out of a slump with a couple of hits and a run batted in.
But the real story once again for Chillicothe was stellar defense and strong pitching. Starting Pitcher Mitch Alba went five innings, allowing two runs. Joe Shapiro and Koby Linder pitched two innings each to close out the Mustangs and secure the 6 to 4 win.
The Mudcats are off tonight then return action on Friday night at Shaffer Park. KCHI’s pregame show Friday starts around 6:55 with first pitch at 7:05.
