The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report includes several incidents and arrests.
Deputies began an investigation June 18th on stealing of items in the 18000 block of LIV 212 and damaging a camper at the location.
On June 21st, deputies began a burglary and stealing investigation on LIV 2313. Items stolen include cash and 7 firearms.
June 30th, someone removed a gate from a secured towing lot and stole a vehicle. An investigation led to the arrest of 31-year-old Colbi D. Stottlemyre of Chillicothe for the alleged Stealing by Deceit and Trespassing.
An investigation that began in May for a headstone stolen from a local cemetery is complete. A suspect was identified.

June 30th, deputies arrested 37-year-old Hillary Elizabeth Rogers of Chula on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance. She was released on bond.
June 30th, deputies arrested 32-year-old Jessica Lynn Leverett of Chillicothe on a Municipal warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Stealing. She posted bond.
June 30th, deputies arrested 33-year-old Joshua Steven Knouse of Wheeling on a Wyandotte County Kansas warrant for alleged Failure to Comply with Probation on charges of 2 counts Making False Information, Theft -value $1,500-$25,000, Theft-Value less than $1,500 and Conspiracy Theft of Property/Services Value $1,500-$25,000. He was held for extradition.
June 30th on US 36 near Liv 255 a deputy stopped a U-Haul for multiple violations and nearly striking a guard rail. They arrested 24-year-old David Contreras of Illinois for alleged DWI under Alcohol and Drugs and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.
July 1st deputies arrested 28-year-old Tyler Leigh McDowell of Chillicothe on Livingston County warrant for alleged two counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance.
July 1st, deputies arrested 37-year-old Joshua Michael King of Odessa on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance. He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.
July 1st, deputies arrested 54-year-old Bobby Joe Campbell of Chillicothe on a Linn County warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on No Valid Driver’s License. He was turned over to Linn County Sheriff.
July 7th, a vehicle was stopped south of Chillicothe on US 65 near Highway Z, following a report the vehicle was all over the roadway, pulling a livestock trailer and the driver was tossing beer cans out the window. As a result of the stop, 28-year-old Alvaro Martinez Castro of Des Moines was arrested for alleged Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License. The report states he also chose to physically resist the arrest.
