The Livingston County Preservation Society is launching its Century Home project. This is to celebrate homes and commercial properties that are 100 years old or older. To qualify, a property owner would need to complete the application form and submit documentation that shows the age of their property. Once accepted, the plaque must be paid for before it can be ordered.
Our first Century Home is the Gabrielson’s Maybee Mansion at 324 Washington Street. This home was built in 1919 by J. R. Blackman.
Kirsten Mouton from the Livingston County Preservation Society says they hope many others will want to proudly display the age and builder of their home or property. A link to a site with additional information and an application is with this story.
