R-II School District Making Plans For 3rd Round Of COVID Stimulus
The Chillicothe R-II School Board will need to spend about $3.5 million in Cares Act funding for schools. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says they are looking at how that money will be spent. The funds are not spent on recurring budget items.

Substitute Pay Added To R-II Salary Schedule
Substitutes in the Chillicothe R-II School District will receive an increase in their pay compared to last year. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says this affects both teachers and support staff. Wiebers says these were added to the new salary schedule so they will be updated with other salaries in the future.
School Board Handles State Required Items
Two documents required by the state of Missouri were approved by the Chillicothe R-II School Board. Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the first is the Conflict of Interest Policy. The second is the Local Compliance Plan. Both were approved by the board and will be submitted to the state.
