A Boy Scout from Troop 120 in Chillicothe received approval from the Chillicothe City Council to proceed with his Eagle Scout Project at Monday’s meeting. Edison Turner, a Life Scout, presented his proposal to the Council at the meeting.
Turner told the Council he would raise the funds to purchase the box and has already met with the Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments , as well as with other City officials who have supported the project.
Turner says once the drop box is purchased, he will continue to work with the city on educating the community.
The Council approved the project on a 5-0 vote.
