State Troopers in the area counties report one arrest and one injury accident on Wednesday.
A two-vehicle accident near Marceline Wednesday morning left one driver with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 71-year-old Mary Murphy of Marceline was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield following the accident at about 10:45 am on Highway 5. According to the report, Murphy was northbound and a truck driven by 21-year-old Taylor J Philips of Marceline failed to yield and hit the Murphy vehicle on the driver’s side. Philips was not injured.
A Green City woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Sullivan County. Troopers arrested 53-year-old Yvette N Welsh at about 1:00 pm for alleged DWI and no insurance. She was processed at the Sullivan County Jail and released.
