The Chillicothe Soccer team picked up another win, beating Kirksville 2 to 0. Chace Corbin scored in the 12th minute off a Ben Cueni-Smith assist and Drake Cosgrove scored in the 58th minute off a Corbin assist. Jaxon Albertson had six saves in the shut out.
Coach Tim Cunningham said: “Drake and Chace continue to play at a high level, with Ben chipping in an assist with a great pass to create our first goal. A tip of the cap to our defense for earning the shutout. Nate King, Logan Distler, Tyler Stephens, Josh Adams as well as Jackson Reeter, Aidan Zimmerman, Wyatt Brandsgaard and keeper Jaxon Albertson all played a role in securing the clean sheet.”
The Hornets Junior Varsity won 2 to 1. Both Chillicothe goals were scored by Jacob Adams.
