A Mooresville woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Friday morning on Route D near Mooresville. State Troopers report 18-year-old Ilyce R Peel was taken to Hedrick Medical Center following the accident that happened about 7:00 am. The report states Peel was southbound and ran off the west side of the road, struck an embankment and a mailbox, and her car overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. She was wearing a safety belt.
