The Chillicothe Girls Cross Country team finished fourth out of eight complete teams and the boys finished fifth out of nine full teams in the Excelsior Springs meet on a course that Coach Jennifer Dickson called “Super Hilly”
Earning medals for the girls team was Kadence Shipers 12th, Yoo Jung Lee 20th, Juliann Gabrielson 25th and Alice Hurtgen 32nd. Other Lady Hornets were Kaylynn Cranmer 54th and Karissa Fostek 58th.
Medalists for the Hornets were Cain Evans 14th, Clayton Savage 34th and Austin Lyford 36th. Other Hornets competing were Carter Shipers 42nd, Stephen Parkes 53rd, Alton Keller 56th and Logan Gregory 79th in overall standings.
