The Chillicothe Police Reports Includes Accidents and Arrests.
The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 74 calls for service Monday. Some of the calls include:
1:56 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ryan Ln. and S. Washington St. K-9 Enoch was utilized during the stop. Officers arrested a 33-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman for possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child. They were processed at the Police Department and transported to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail and held pending the filing of formal charges.
7:52 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 800 block of Elm St. Officers discovered three family members had been in a verbal argument and all three had been bitten by their dog. They were all treated at the hospital. The dog owner was issued a citation for failing to have annual vaccinations.
11:53 p.m., Officers arrested a 50-year-old male in the 2700 block of N. Washington St on a Platte County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Late last week, Officers responded to a business in the 1200 block of Washington for suspicious activity. After a short investigation, they found the suspect had stolen a felony amount worth of groceries. The suspect was arrested and later released.
Saturday: Officers took a report of a vehicle stolen from a business in the 300 block of Washington. While on the scene, it was determined another vehicle had just been stolen after a suspect failed to return after a test drive. A female accomplice was on the scene while officers were present. The driver fled the city at a high rate of speed. Suspects have been identified and warrants are being sought for their arrest.
Sunday: Officers worked a two-vehicle crash near the Webster and Dickenson, where a passenger was transported to the hospital with possible injuries.
