The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer team’s historic winning streak has reached 13 in a row with a 3-2 home win over Kirksville.
Chillicothe jumped on top early with a Sam Reeter goal off a Gabe Hansen assist in the 11th minute
Kirksville scored 2 minutes later to tie the score. Chillicothe answered with a Drake Cosgrove goal in the 30th minute and again in the 32nd minute, both off Chace Corbin assists.
Kirksville scored in the 59th minute.
Hornet Goalie Jaxon Albertson had three saves.
Coach Cunningham called it a tough back-to-back against another quality team. He said the Hornets got off to a great start in the first half and was able to put a lot of pressure on the defense. In the second half, the Hornets were able to hold on with some very tired legs.
Kirksville won the JV match 2 to 1 with Jackson Reeter scoring for the Hornets.
