Chillicothe City Council – American Rescue Funds Workshop

The Chillicothe City Council heard their options on the use of the American Rescuer Plan Funds as they met in a workshop session.  The City has received half of the funds that were awarded.  The money received so far is $979,000.  City Auditor Hannah Fletcher says the council will have several options on using the funds, including:  response to the public health emergency, premium pay for essential employees, investments in water, sewer, and broadband.

The Council plans to wait until the “Final Rule” for the use of the funds is released, which could be by the end of the year,

The second half of the American Rescuer Plan Funds could be expected no sooner than next August.
