The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer Team will battle St Joseph Bishop LeBlond for the Class 2 District 8 championship tonight at Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe. LeBlond is the top seed with a 16-2 record.
Chillicothe Coach Tim Cunningham says, in addition to the regular season meeting, he had a chance to scout LeBlond in their semi final win this week. He says LeBlond is an “extremely skilled” team.
LeBlond won the regular season meeting over Chillicothe 3 to 1. The game on September 9th was the last one Chillicothe has lost this season.
Game time is 6:00pm tonight. The winner advances to the Class 2 State Tournament.
Chillicothe’s last Soccer District Championship was in 2019.
