The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to one accident and made two arrests in the area counties Tuesday.
At about 6:15 am in Daviess County, a van versus deer accident left a passenger in the van with minor injuries. State Troopers report 70-year-old Mark Englert of Chillicothe was westbound on US 69 near Winston, when a deer ran in front of the van and was struck. Englert was not injured. His passenger, 80-year-old Mary Griffon of Trenton had minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital for treatment. She was not wearing a safety belt.
Troopers in Livingston and Daviess Counties report arrests on Tuesday.
At about 11:50 am, Troopers in Daviess County arrested 24-year-old Anthony McCarty of Indiana for alleged possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, and no valid plates. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
In Livingston County, Troopers arrested 30-year-old Kelsey N Sackrey of Brookfield at about 3:20 pm for alleged DWI, Speeding, and No Insurance. He was processed and released.
