Two accidents, a half-mile east of Chillicothe at about 9:45 pm, left the drivers with moderate injuries. Both vehicles had struck debris in the roadway on Eastbound 36, from an earlier accident.
An eastbound vehicle driven by 45-year-old Quinnton Nicholas of Welda, KS ran off the south side of the road after striking the debris.
An eastbound vehicle driven by 20-year-old Carson A Updike of Green Bank, WA, ran off the north side of the road after striking the debris.
Both drivers had moderate injuries and were taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
