Livingston County will build a new bridge and will begin working on repairs and replacement of 10-12 other bridges in 2022. That is 10-12 out of 50 bridges that have been identified as deficient. Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the county will use about $1 million of the rescue funds received to address 10 to 12 bridges, identified by their engineers, beginning next year.
Douglas says they also plan to replace a bridge that is over 50 feet with a new bridge in 2022.
He says that will give the County “Soft Match” credits that will assist in building five new bridges over five years with federal BRO funds.
