The Chillicothe Hornets Boys Basketball team improved to 5 and 3 with a
51 to 34 home win over Lawson. Chillicothe balanced the inside and outside shooting game. The team had ten deuces and nine of 17 treys in the game.
Hornets Coach Tim Cool said his Hornets also played a strong defensive game.
Chillicothe had two runs on points to help their cause, an 11-0 run in the late 1st and early 2nd quarters, and a 14-0 run in the late 2nd and 3rd quarters.
Griff Bonderer led the Hornets with 19 points including five treys. Landon Winder with 16 points, Wyatt Brandsgaard with 10 points, James Mathew with four and Milo Costner with two. Also seeing playing time were Jackson Trout, Chace Corbin, Carson Samm and Ricky Wilson.
The Lawson Junior Varsity beat Chillicothe 38 to 27. The JV Hornets were led by Wilson with 11, Langeston Johnson with 7, Quenten Midgyett with 5 and Aaerrion Hudson and Costner with two each.
