Giving the City of Chillicothe employees the ability to opt out of the city provided Health Insurance plan was approved by the City Council. The policy requires the employees that choose to opt out to file the paperwork each year. They must also provide proof of another health insurance coverage.
Those who qualify will receive a monthly payment, equal to half of the cost of the benefit they are not using. That payment will be taxable.
