A report of several people injured at a home in the 12000 block of LIV 216 summoned the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, The Highway Patrol, and Emergency Services. The call came in Monday at about 6:05 pm and deputies found a man who was under a restraining order to not be at the location and the stepparent and parent of the resident.
Sheriff Steve Cox reported one person confronted the man with a baseball bat in the basement of the home. The report states three were injured and were taken to the hospital.
The report states deputies arrested 34-year-old Daniel Joseph Smith for two counts of alleged violation of an order of protection. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
