A convicted child sex offender was arrested by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department for alleged failure to register. 24-year-old Jonathan Patrick Patterson returned to Chillicothe early in January following a conviction in 2016.
Patterson’s family checked with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department on a place to live and were told it was in close proximity to a daycare and was not allowed.
He registered at a local motel, but earlier this week he had already moved out of the location and had not reported his new address.
Patterson was arrested for alleged Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. He is held pending the filing of formal charges.
