Chillicothe Hornet wrestlers went 1-1 in a triangular meet at Brookfield.
Chillicothe beat Gallatin 36 to 33 thanks to wins by Brody Carins by pin and wins from byes for Lane McCoy, Joel Edwards, Bryce Dominique and Vance Scherler. Suffering losses were Caden Kanniainen, Gauge Chenet, Dawson Sutton, Brock Miller, Dilyn Ulmer and Bo Smith.
Brookfield beat Chillicothe boys 61 to 18. Chillicothe had wins from Brock Miller, Dilyn Ulmer and a bye for Bo Smith. Chillicothe had four open weight classes and suffered losses by Carter Shipers, Joel Edwards, Bryce Dominique, Gauge Chenet, Dawson Sutton, Brody Carins and Vance Sherler.
There were four exhibition matches with Bryce Bergan winning and Caden Kanniainen, Nicholas Swan and Keyton Warren all losing.
In Girls competition, Gallatin beat Chillicothe 18 to 15. Chillicothe had wins by Yoo Lee 5-4, , Rebecca Slattery by pin and win by forfeit from Karyna Ireland.
Suffering a loss was Keonnia Morgan and Gallatin had two wins via byes.
Brookfield girls had more numbers out for wrestling and beat Chillicothe 45 to 12. Chillicothe’s Keonnia Morgan and Rebecca Slattery both won with byes. Suffering losses were Yoo Lee and Karyna Ireland. Brookfield won five matches with byes.
