The filing season for the 2021 Federal Tax Returns is open, but some of the forms you need may still be in processing. IRS Spokesman Michael Devine says be sure you have all of the information you need before you file.
If you were supposed to receive the documents electronically and they have not arrived, check with the organization that was to send them AND check your spam folders in your email.
Devine says there were no major changes from the 2020 filing.
He says to make sure you have all of the 1099’s and W2’s you should have, especially if you changed or had part-time jobs in 2021.
