A Chillicothe Lady Hornet has her name in the official M.S.H.S.A.A. record book.
Lady Hornets Softball star pitcher Kinlei Boley now holds the State high school record for consecutive batters retired. Boley’s mark of 41 breaks the previous record of 33, set twice in 2008 by a Kirksville pitcher.
Boley’s streak included 15 straight against Maryville, 21 outs in a perfect game against Savannah and five in a row to begin the game against Kirksville, all in the District Tournament. 31 of Boley’s 41 outs were strike outs.
