The Chillicothe Basketball teams are in a Conference doubleheader at St Joseph Lafayette tonight.
The Lady Hornets are taking on a much improved Lafayette girls team, that’s currently 14 and 9, after three straight losing seasons.
Chillicothe Coach Darren Smith says this should be a good match up for his guards.
In the boys game, the Hornets are trying to beat Lafayette for the first time since January 2nd, 2007 when Chillicothe beat the Irish 44 to 43.
Coach Tim Cool says his coaching staff recently scouted Lafayette against Benton.
The varsity doubleheader will start around 6:00pm, after the Junior Varsity game. The Varsity double header can be heard on KCHI. A two-quarters JV girls game starts at 5pm, followed by the varsity doubleheader starting around 5:30pm.
