Two accidents are reported by the Missouri Highway Patrol for the area counties.
Two Brookfield residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident Thursday at about 6:30 pm. The accident happened in Macon County as 63-year-old Thomas L Jenkins was westbound on US 36 near Macon, and skidded off the road, struck an embankment and his vehicle overturned. He and his passenger, 61-year-old Kathryn I Berry of Brookfield, were taken to Randolph County Medical center with Moderate injuries.
In Daviess County at about 3:25 pm, a single-vehicle accident left an Iowa woman with moderate injuries. 26-year-old Maria Sandoval-Diaz of Cedar Rapids was southbound on I-35 and lost control. She ran off the right side of the roads and struck a bridge. She was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
