The Chillicothe Lady Hornets opened up a big lead in the first quarter and beat Maryville 62 to 40 in a home conference game.
Maryville girls took a brief one point lead early in the first quarter. Chillicothe answered with a 15-0 run and the game was never in doubt after that.
Lady Hornets Coach Darren Smith said the Lady Hornets were loose and ready for the game.
Jolie Bonderer had 16 points, Essie Hicks and Lucy Reeter each with 13 points, Jessica Reeter and Kayanna Cranmer with 7, Clara Leamer, Bre Pithan and Izzie Montgomery each with 2 and playing time for three others.
The Chillicothe Junior Varsity won 40 to 25.
