Bus transportation for the Chillicothe R-II School District is a tricky balance of time and resources. The Assistant Superintendent Dr Zach McMains, is working to improve the transportation of students and will be asking for opinions from parents. Dr McMains says they are trying to reduce the amount of time students spend on the bus before and after school.
McMains told the Chillicothe School Board about some of the options they are looking at to improve the busing in Chillicothe.
He says these are not necessarily the solutions, just some of the options they want to look at and discuss. He says those discussions will include parents.
There will also be discussions on when any changes would be implemented. McMains says there may be an option to make changes after the winter break. The other choice is to wait and put the changes in place at the start of the new school year.
