The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department Investigations and Arrests include theft, drug charges and an unattended child.

June 23 LCSO began investigating theft of a handgun from a vehicle sometime earlier in the month. Investigation continues.

June 29th a deputy was called to a location in Ludlow where a young child was found unsupervised and playing in the roadway.  The deputy learned the only person in the home was a juvenile teenager in charge of babysitting.  The deputy also noted an odor of burning marijuana in the home and contacted a parent.  Information submitted to the Child Abuse Hotline as required.

July 5 at a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on Washington Street for 60 in a 35 zone led to an arrest on drug charges.  As a result of the stop and additional probable cause, the vehicle was searched and led to the seizure of a felony amount of marijuana in multiple packages, THC Wax item(s), and THC Vapes with no evidence indicating any of this was for personal use.  Additionally $4,525 in cash was seized.  A small child was in the vehicle in near the evidence.  The deputy arrested 24-year-old Noah Joseph Shaw of Chillicothe for alleged Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Child Involving Drugs.

July 12 at 2:37 a.m. LCSO responded to a location on LIV 351 for a reported death.  Preliminary investigation shows self-inflicted gunshot was the cause of death to the elderly male.
