A portion of 190 in Daviess County is closed through Wednesday and a portion of Route BB in Sullivan County will be narrowed to a single lane soon.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says Highway 190 is closed at the railroad bridge near Route V due to a broken beam on the bridge. Union Pacific railroad says a recent inspection revealed the broken, requiring the closure of the road. Crews hope to have all repairs made and the road reopened by the end of the day Wednesday.
Buckeye Pipe Line, working under a permit issued by the MoDOT, will narrow Route BB between Jolly Road and Joiner Road, starting July 28, to repair their pipeline. The repairs are expected to take approximately 10 days. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
The repair work may require a full closure of Route BB, with no advanced notice. Should a closure be necessary, it will remain in place around the clock until the roadway is restored to a safe condition for motorists. No signed detour would be posted.
