A Karaoke contest sponsored by the Chillicothe Arts Council will give several people the chance to sing on the stage at Chautauqua. Arts Council Director Mary Lou VanDeventer says there are three rounds of qualifying.
Prizes will be $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd.
VanDeventer says all three will receive a performance time at Chautauqua, along with seven others selected to perform.
She says you must register for the qualifying rounds that will take place Mondays, August 8th, 15th, and 22nd, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center.
The registration fee is $5 per person, so duets are $10, and trios are $15… To register, call 660-646-1173.
