A name change for the East Locust Creek Reservoir was approved by the North Central Missouri Regional Water Commission board. General manager Brad Scott says they are recognizing the years of dedication by Senator Roy Blunt.
Scott says the name change is just one of several naming actions that will be seen around the lake.
Discussions on the reservoir began in 1987, reaching milestones of approval, commitment, funding, and completing the land acquisition in 2017. The project is now in the clearing and construction phase as they work towards the permit to begin the dam construction.
