One-hundred-fifty-five calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Monday. Some of the calls include:
06:22 a.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of McCormick St., of property damage. There was an attempted theft of catalytic converters on a single vehicle. The catalytic converter was damaged but was not stolen. The investigation is continuing.
07:25 a.m., Officers responded to the 2400 block of Country Club Dr. on a report of property damage. Two mailboxes were smashed. The reporting party knew the suspect and did not wish to pursue charges.
09:57 a.m., Officers responded to Hedrick Medical Center for a possible animal bite. The person had already left before officers arrived. Later in the day, the person who was bitten made contact with the police department and an animal bite report was taken.
10:03 a.m., Officers met with a person at the police department who was wanting to turn themselves in on a warrant. The suspect was arrested, posted bond and was released.
2:43 p.m., Officers were contacted by Grundy County Sheriff’s office of an individual with a warrant. The officers located the person at the Chillicothe License Bureau and they were taken into custody. The person was later picked up by Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
