Two successful football seasons came to an end with a double header win over Cameron on Tuesday.
The Chillicothe 7th grade football team beat Cameron 30-16 to end 4-1 on the season. Chillicothe scored on an Alex Gamblian 47 yard touchdown and a Cayden Larson 2 point conversion. Hagan Atchison had a touchdown run with a Larson conversion, then Larson ran it in from the one for a score plus had the 2 point conversion.
In the second half, Matty Douglas had an 8 yard touchdown with Gamblian scoring the conversion.
Cameron scored twice in the fourth quarter.
The Chillicothe 8th grade football team ended their middle school career with back to back undefeated seasons, beating Cameron 27-12. Coach Doug French has coached middle school football since 1998 and called the 8th grade team the most talented all-around group in his 21 seasons at Chillicothe.
In the game, Griff Bonderer hit Max Wagers for a long touchdown pass in the two minutes with Wyatt Brandsgaard’s extra point.
Cayden Potter scored twice with Brandsgaard kicks good. The final Hornets touchdown was a Brock Miller long touchdown run for the final score of 27-12
