A Chillicothe woman and St. Joseph man were arrested after two vehicle chases and a foot pursuit. The incident started Saturday with a chase by Hamilton Police, that chase was discontinued, but the vehicle was located a short time later by Cameron Police and they began a second chase that went south into Clinton County, where deputies used spike strips to stop the vehicle.
The officers arrested the driver, 22 year old Kerina Rhoton (right) of Chillicothe, on Livingston County warrants for alleged dangerous drugs and a probation violation warrant. Additional charges were filed in Clinton County for alleged Delivery of Controlled Substance, Tampering with Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, Careless Driving, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $25,000.
The passenger in the vehicle, fled on foot and was tracked by a K9. Thirty year old Tyler Ferguson (left) of St. Joseph was arrested on a Platte County Probation Violation warrant. He also faces charges of alleged Delivery of Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $25,000.
