The driver of a tractor was injured when a vehicle hit the tractor while attempting to pass on US 36 in Linn County Friday. State Troopers report the accident happened when 54 year old Ryan Butterfield was driving the tractor west on US 36 near Laclede and a vehicle driven by 36 year old Allen Figgens of Sedalia was also westbound and attempting to pass the tractor, but hit the left rear of the tractor.
Butterfield was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment. Figgens was not injured in the accident.
