The Penney High School Hornets of Hamilton has had their share of post-season play over the last several years.
This year, after being hit hard by graduation, has had to battle to achieve their 8-3 season record. Last week’s district semi-final was no exception, with a 20-13 double overtime win at top seed Milan.
This Friday night, a district championship and trip to the state tournament is on the line when Hamilton travels to Marceline. The Tigers blanked Gallatin in the semi-finals and sport a 10-1 record.
Penney Coach Caleb Obert says his team will need a total team effort if they want to win the District championship.
Obert says his Hornets must come back to reality after last week’s emotional double overtime win.
