The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 282 calls for service from Tuesday to Thursday.
Tuesday,
8:45 AM, officers were contacted regarding a scam and a scammer having pictures and wanting money. Officers assisted and the individual did not provide any information and blocked the number.
11:00 AM, Officers responded to the 1900 block of Webster Street for a motor vehicle accident. A vehicle backed out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles
2:45 PM, Officers received a call from Columbia Police Department about a missing juvenile from 2021 who was reported to be in Chillicothe. Officers checked the location and verified the girl was present and safe, but was now an adult.
8:45 PM, Officers contacted an individual driving in the 900 block of Elm Street, who was arrested for DWI.
Wednesday,
2:00 PM, Officers took a report of theft in the 400 block of Jackson Street.
3:00 PM, Officers and Deputies stopped a vehicle on 36 Highway and arrested a 51-year-old man on several warrants. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
6:48 PM, Officers responded to the 1100 block of Calhoun St for an accident. The report indicates a sedan was making a left turn into a driveway when a motorcycle passed them on the driver’s side, striking the front bumper of the sedan. No injuries were reported.
7:30 PM, Officers responded to the 600 block of Walnut Street, on a report of a stolen firearm. The investigation continues.
Thursday,
09:57 AM, Officers assisted the School Resource Officer with an investigation. The claims were unfounded and all was safe.
5:06 PM, Officers responded to the 1700 block of Rosewood Ave. for a possible suicidal juvenile. Officers determined the juvenile was not suicidal and the incident was a domestic disturbance.
