A rural route resurfacing project has begun in the area counties. the Missouri Department of Transportation says this includes routes in Livingston, Linn, Chariton, Sullivan, and Putnam Counties. MoDOT says the project is focused on resurfacing low-volume rural routes in several counties across Northwest Missouri. Magruder Paving, LLC, working with the MoDOT, began this week with milling roadway transitions today on Linn County Routes M and C.
A general paving schedule of all routes included in the project shows the paving schedule begins in June. The milling of transitions between the routes and connecting roadways may take place days or weeks in advance of paving. Traffic will be directed through a one-lane closure by flaggers during paving and milling.
June:
- Putnam County Routes Y & YY.
- Linn/Chariton Route 139.
- Sullivan/Linn County Route 129.
July:
- Linn County Routes C & M.
- Chariton County Routes NN & 129 north/south.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. The project should be completed in August.
