A car fire south of Chillicothe Tuesday evening was handled by the Chillicothe Fire Department. The call came in about 5:30 and the fire crews arrived 10 minutes later to find the fire in the engine compartment and in the passenger area. About 400 gallons of water was used to put out the fire. The fire crew was on the scene for less than 15 minutes. They were assisted by the Sheriff’s Department.
