Chillicothe Police Report For Friday – Sunday

The Chillicothe Police Department report for Friday through Sunday includes more than 200 calls for service.

Friday, June 21st, 2024

3:52 PM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3000 block of Hwy 65 for a report of theft.  Officers were able to identify the suspect and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

Saturday, June 22nd

At 2:12 a.m., Officers were on patrol and contacted juveniles who were out past curfew. Officers transported the juveniles to their residences and released them to their parents.

At 11:00 a.m., Officers were dispatched to suspicious activity in the 1300 block of N. Washington St. Officers responded and arrested a 20-year-old male on a Livingston County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while suspended. During the arrest, he was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The man was unable to post bond and was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

At 12:52 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Clay St.  They arrested a 51-year-old man for domestic assault. He was processed and released.

At 1:32 p.m., Officers were called to a two vehicle non-injury crash in the 3100 block of Litton Rd.

At 2:36 p.m., Officers were responded to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Jackson St. They took a report for domestic assault. The investigation is ongoing.

At 3:43 p.m., Officers were called to leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 500 block of S. Washington St.  The investigation is ongoing.

At 9:17 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 1400 block of Polk St.  The investigation is ongoing.

Sunday, June 23rd

At 12:10 p.m., Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile in the 1400 block of Clay St.

At 1:09 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash at Calhoun and Locust St.’s.  One driver was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign resulting in a traffic crash.

At 3:06 p.m., Officers received information of a possible location for the runaway juvenile. Officers responded to the 900 block of Dickinson Ave. Officers discovered an open door and evidence of a burglary and property damage. The building was searched and additional property damage was found, including fire extinguishers set off in rooms and damage to a copy machine. Officers located three teenage juveniles inside the building, including the runaway juvenile.  The juveniles were arrested and parents were contacted, along with the Juvenile Office.  At the direction of the Juvenile Office, the teenagers were released to their parents. The incident will be forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
