The purchase of two vehicles for the Chillicothe Police Department was approved by the Chillicothe City Council. Captain Jeremiah Grider presented the bids received and made the recommendation to approve the lowest bid of $82,520 for two Dodge Durango pursuit police vehicles. They hope to take delivery in about 6 months.
Captain Grider says they will trade in two of the current fleet vehicles.
Once the vehicles arrive, they will be outfitted with the necessary equipment, which will take a couple of weeks to complete.
