The reopening of Missouri Route 5 in Chariton County under the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge west of Salisbury has been delayed again, due to guardrail installation issues. The contractor, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, now expects to reopen Route 5 on Wednesday, July 3.
Crews will be completing concrete paving and placing barrier walls through the end of this week and installing guardrail next week, weather depending.
The detour continues as it has during the project.
