Moderate flooding is expected in the Grand River beginning this afternoon. More than 2.3 inches of Rain fell on Chillicothe Tuesday evening with heavy rain in areas to the north and west. The National Weather Service issued the Flood Warning for the Grand River near Sumner beginning this afternoon and continuing until Thursday afternoon.
The river is expected to rise above flood stage of 26 feet this afternoon to a crest of 29.2 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage on Thursday afternoon.
