Chillicothe residents are reminded they are responsible for the disposal of storm debris, including tree limbs. The Chillicothe Street Department will not pick up any storm debris on the curbside. The city asks that you take your storm debris to the CMU burn pile. It is located on Ryan Lane, east of Mitchell Avenue. Go east, over the railroad tracks, and the burn pile will be on the right side.
The location will only accept tree branches and limbs.
If you do not have a truck or trailer to haul your storm debris, the city suggests that you reach out to neighbors, friends, and family for help.
For yard waste, you can also purchase a $.75 sticker per bag (40-gallon maximum size bag) at the CMU office. This may help you dispose of your yard waste. You can just call them when you put them on the curb and they will pick it up.
