The Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday and Thursday includes more than 150 calls for service, including numerous fireworks violations.
Wednesday:
10:07 AM, Officers took a report of theft from the 500 block of Washington Street. The investigation is ongoing.
10:22 AM, Officers took a delayed report of a sexual assault that occurred in the 900 block of Dickinson. Suspects have been identified.
12:19 PM, an individual came to the Chillicothe Police Department to report a theft involving their bank account. The investigation continues.
12:50 PM, Officers responded to the 200 Block of Brunswick Street regarding property damage that occurred to multiple vehicles. The investigation is ongoing.
3:17 PM, Officers responded to Polk and Washington for a two-vehicle non-injury crash.
9:57 PM, Officers responded to the area of 3rd Street near the railroad tracks for a report of Juveniles shooting fireworks off at passing vehicles. The Juveniles were issued a warning and advised to stop.
11:31 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Washington Street. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Thursday:
1:28 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mitchell & Business 36 Hwy for an equipment violation. During the stop, officers found the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver was arrested, processed, and released.
6:16 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington for individuals firing fireworks off near a gas station. Officers were directed to the individuals involved and discovered the suspects were also smoking marijuana in a public area. One suspect was arrested for disorderly and smoking marijuana in a public area. The other suspect left the area and a summons will be issued.
10:50 PM, Officers made a traffic stop on an ATV near Broadway Street and JFK Ave. The driver was intoxicated and was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to CCDC as this was the driver’s third DWI making it a felony.
