The City of Chillicothe is seeking funding for a demolition project to remove several residential structures. To begin the process, the City approved a resolution to seek a Community Development Block Grant from the state of Missouri.
They also approved a resolution establishing rules, regulations, and penalties for “Use of excessive force during non-violent civil rights demonstrations, including physically barring access to a facility or location. This resolution was approved on a vote of 3-1, with 1st Ward Councilman Reed Dupy voting no.
An ordinance was approved to provide Fair Housing and to establish a Fair Housing Committee.
